His boss treats him like dirt. Shonali, his colleague who he secretly loves doesn’t even know he exists. Karthik is a loser, knows it, and accepts it.
Karthik believes his life cant get any worse and then suddenly one night, it happens; The phone rings. And Karthik speaks to someone he never though he would - He speaks to a man who also claims to be Karthik. The man on the phone says that he is here to change Karthik’s life.
Karthik accepts the phone in his life and soon it becomes his guide, his mentor, friend and guardian. And most importantly it becomes the ticket to the love of his life, Shonali and Karthik’s life changes in ways that he hadn’t imagined. |

Interesting choice of story line with good acting and music. Keeps the attention till the very end. Enjoyed it very much. Definitely better than the usual low IQ masalas. |

Its a one time watch. Well the ending makes sense but the screenplay towards the end drags diluting the impact. Watch for Farhan's chameleon like performance. |

Karthik Calling Karthik is a movie worth watching with good songs which are at most two minutes in length unlike most songs which go beyond five minutes. The only negative thing for this movie is the plot which is very easy to predict. Worth a watch. |

Bad Ending Spoils the Show |

Karthik Calling Karthik shows promise at times, but in the first half you keep hoping it doesn't take the plot turn you just know it is going to take. Then, in the second half, scenes take place which COULD NOT possibly be true if that plot twist did happen ... but it did anyway! If you have seen the film, you know what I am talking about. Honestly, this ruins an intriguing plot and story and is (trust me) BAD science. I will not elaborate further because I don't want to ruin the film for first timers, but be prepared for a major let down. |
