What do you do when your entire family is against the bride of your choice? Do you replace your family? Or do you replace the bride? Or do you make an aloo-chaat of your life?
Aloo Chaat the film, is rich in masala - with plots within sub-plots, with wisecracks dripping endlessly like that tangy chutney, and is a treat that you don’t want to miss.
It tickles you, shakes you, rattles you, gags you as it takes you through the narrow lanes and equally narrow minds of orthodox Delhi parents, to a wider world of love and romance, and an unexpected twist in the tale... |

Above Average Sit-com |

This is essentially a Bollywood sit-com. The plot is relatively cute (if stereotypical of Americans). A man falls in love with a Muslim and decides to make his parents choose her over ... an American girl. He then brings a girl over to his house and tells her to "act American." I wasn't really offended by all the stereotypes of America (inspired from Hollywood, which is not typical of Americans), but it remained essentially a sit-com with nothing special. Aamna Shariff was the highlight, and I hope she goes on to make some good movies. |

Well this movie is more on the lines of light comedy during the 80s.The plot was simple but the direction was above average. This is the same director who directed MP3. Some parts were hilarious. |
