Professor Rajan Mathur, resides in Delhi with his activist wife Roma. He comes across a young boy Numair Qazi who introduces himself as a victim of communal riots in Gujarat. Feeling pity, Rajan offers him shelter in his house and soon becomes close to him. Little does Rajan know that Numair is actually a suicide bomber commissioned by a Muslim fundamentalist group to blow up the Red Fort in Delhi on 15th August during the Independence Day celebrations. |

It's an excellent movie and showcases a different avatar of Mr. Subhash Ghai (Director). The movie is serious in tone from the start to the end. Acting by all the leading actors deserve outstanding respect. Starting from veterans like Anil Kapor (as Prof Rajan Mathur), Shifaali Shah (as Roma, Prof Mathur's wife) to the new-find Anurag Sinha (as terrorist Numair Quazi), are simply superb. The story is actually the main protagonist here. However, there are a few hiccups, for example, the reason to send two Guys (instead of Numair going himself) to Roma's house to collect the diary is not convincing enough. Nevertheless, the effort must be lauded and it is bound to satisfy you if you are a thinking viewer. |
