What happens when you transplant an English rose to a countryside in Punjab and expect her to thrive in an alien environment? The rose will either die or rebel. That’s exactly what Jazz, rather Jasmeet does when her father Manmohan Singh brings her to India and gets her married to Arjun, a rough and tough farmer who can barely speak English. But Jazz too is equally determined to marry Charlie Brown her British boyfriend. Caught in this emotional tug of war between father and daughter is poor Arjun, who is helplessly and hopelessly in love with his beautiful but unyielding wife.

In Namastey London, this emotional and dramatic tug of war will determine whether love is more about giving or taking? Whether Indian values must surrender to Western culture? Whether Jazz will win or Jasmeet!

Too Much Bias 2 Star Sotaria

I liked this movie at times, and I wanted to like the whole film, but the second half deteriorated too much into racism against the evil white man. Stereotypes of white men were over the top and offensive. I don't mind the Indian pride but when the movie is supposedly about tolerance even while being so intolerant of whites, it just falls apart. As much as I want to recommend it, I can't.

Good... If You Don't Take It Too Seriously 5 Star Parvati Vajpayee

I really liked this movie! Now, if you've got NRI kids, be forewarned that they'll think it's ridiculous and cheesy (an NRI getting with an uneducated Punjabi farmer? HIGHLY unlikely; a guy in England named Charlie Brown? Are you kidding?). However, even they'll enjoy the comedy and the heartwarming story, even if it is a little simplistic, unrealistic and moralistic. Good to see Katrina loosening up as an actress and Akshay is as good as always in his crazy way. Would definitely recommend it but suggest you be in the mood for a light, silly but fun film.

Entertaining 3 Star A. Sahni

Namastey London is entertaining, with an odd story line.

Just OK 2 Star Miss

First half is fun to watch..some nice moments but second half becomes quite preachy and predictable. Katrina Kaif looks very beautiful in this movie.

Entertaining 5 Star RAhluwalia

Entertaining movie - had fun watching.

Namastey ......... 3 Star AKS

Namastey London is a simple, sweet love story in the UK with a balanced script and screenplay. It has a well balanced dose of everything that makes it a commercial potboiler. Also it caters to a huge segment of the NRI or British Asian population in UK. It is an entertaining film and at the box-office it should have an above average result.
