It's a fact that while we cherish our relationship with our family the most, it's the profound ones that we make in our life's journey that prove to be far more important to us. Our ambitions play a vital role in shaping up these relationships, and gradually, our actions under different circumstances decide our destiny.
Manoranjan - The Entertainment is based on these evolving relationships. The film is scripted with Bollywood as its backdrop, and the storytelling is quite simple, keeping a universal appeal to it.
Rahul (Aryan Vaid), Vicky (Sudanshu Pandye) and Priya (Kavita) affected by their respective poignant predicaments, reach the city of dreams, Mumbai, to fulfill their destiny. Rahul aspires to be " a star" whereas Vicky wants to earn unlimited money in any manner whatsoever. Priya is here just to survive.
Rahul and Vicky have Subbu (Vijay Raaz) as their mentor and guide. Subbu is the secretary to super - star, Maya (Aditi Gowitrikar), and aspires to be a big film producer in the future (for which he incessantly and continuously tries, but in Vain!). Priya has no one to look up to. She starts working with Maya, and slowly they develop a great rapport with each other.
One fine day, Subbu lands into a big soup due to his own stupidities, and is sacked by Maya. At the same time, Rahul is forced to become a petty worker (Spot Boy) in the film industry, and Vicky eventually lands up a job as a driver to Maya. Feeling abandoned, Subbu does not lose hope and plans a film by hooking a Choudhary from Haryana (Vishwajeet Pradhan) who is Maya's ardent admirer. He plans the film with Karu Pandey (Makrand Deshpande), a person on a perpetual high, as his film's director.
In the meantime, Rahul and Priya, being in the same industry, get to know each other and gradually fall in love. Maya throws Priya out of her house due to some misunderstanding, and with no where to go, she now joins Rahul and Subbu for their one common dream of making a film. Vicky enters the big bad underworld, and forgets all his dreams of making it in life legitimately.
All of them, that is, Rahul, Priya, Subbu, Maya, and Vicky, achieve success but each has to pay a huge personal price. They do eventually understand that success; money and power stand by nobody, and that, its just love, which keeps one going. |
