Director Mustafa Engineer's 'Chand Ke Paar Chalo' has the script similar to that of the old movies. The film tells us about the journey covered by a banjaran from a street dancer to a bollywood actress. It fails to hold its impact on the audience.
Chander (Saahib) is a tourist photographer in Nainital. One day, he comes across Nirmala (Preeti Jhangiani), a banjaran, and falls for her beauty. She earns her bread and butter through dancing. Chander decides to place her at a stage where she earns good reputation with her art. Chander sells his studio and takes Nirmala to the city of dreams, Mumbai. From there Nirmala's journey to stardom begins. She is renamed Garima. Chander further raise funds and introduce Garima to a film director who signs her in his film. She gets good fame and becomes rich. But certain circumstances make Chander part away from Garima, come back to Nainital and continue his old job. And how Garima wins her love back forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Saahib did his role adequately. He needs to improve in some sequences. Preeti Jhangiani has performed well. She suits well for the role of upcoming artist in the movie. The other cast are okay. Music given by Vishnu Narayan is good. Direction and script by Mustafa Engineer is good in some parts of the movie. The other technical aspects are just adequate. |

The Movie is okay to watch. The man who plays a role of his friend and take acre of his parents afterwards, his acting is good. Well, I don't enjoyed that much. Just a one-time movie. |
