Ananth Mahadevan is the man who brought us 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' and 'Dil Maange More.' comes a movie from a different genre. 'Aksar' is a movie based around suspense and unexpected twists but although it tries very hard it struggles to hold any depth whatsoever.Revolving around three people this movie shows the many different facets of how people play mind games with each other. Ricky (Emraan Hashmi) is photographer who is not only talented in his field but also in the manner in which he can take advantage of his models. Ricky is known for his womanising ways as well as taking out loans which he can not repay. Along comes a rich NRI business man Raj (Dino Morea) who is stuck in his marriage and is looking for a way out so that he can divorce his obsessive and over controlling wife Sheena ( Udita Goswami.)As it so happens Raj hires Ricky to fall in love with his wife so that he can find a basis for his divorce, but as fate would have it, Sheena just happens to be one of Ricky's crushes from the past. So as Ricky moves onto London, he makes himself home at Raj's mansion , in his mission to ensnare Sheena. Ricky succeeds and after much charm and creeping, Sheena too falls in love with Ricky and as it would happen Raj walks in on the two making love. Sheena's old friend ( Tara Sharma) turns up on the scene and it is then that many of the twists begin. With a murder taking place between the two protagonists you are dragged into an unexpected climax. |

Good story but ... |

The music by Himesh Reshammiya is good and is already on the top of the chartbusters. The cinematography is also quite nice with the beautiful locales of London. However the climax of the movie is a complete letdown. The performances are not up to the mark and the actors are unable to make you feel for the characters. |
