'Insan' is a good and fun movie to watch. Akshay Kumar is in his element. He carries his part with amazing confidence. He handles the volatile situations with ease as much as he handles the sequences relating to wooing Henna (Esha Deol). Akshay should be appreciated for sporting an ego-free space in the film. At one point he even allows Ajay Devgan to beat him up in front of scores of bystanders. Ajay, Esha, Lara and tushar played thier roles well and yeah Rahul was good too. |

Terrorism has become a favorite subject in Bollywood and INSAN is one such as film. Like other Bollywood films, INSAN uses the theme as a mere formula for success. The film takes up the delicate issue of Hindu-Muslim. Instead of handling it with care and responsibility, it portrays characters from both communities in a bad light. The script around the Godhra misfortune and subsequent events in Gujarat lacks the sense of history and social responsibility.
Akshay Kahnna has done a wonderful well-balanced role keeping the spectators glued to their seats. Ajay Devgan is a serious cop who can run with a gun into a praying congregation at a mosque. While Akshay and Ajay do the grin and the scowl in separate stories, Tusshar Kapoor and his love interest do the "Exploited Strugglers In Bollywood" bit. The girl even gets into a producer's bedroom before she's rescued. Poor Lara Dutta deserves a lot better role than what she got.
The director K. Subhash's opted for for a novel script, where characters don't have a life of their own. They are all put up there to create a drama originating from the haves and the havocs.
Instead of all this, there are three reasons why one can sit through this loud homage to loutishness: Akshay Kumar, Akshay Kumar & Akshay Kumar. |

Insan is a very well made movie. Though I did not rent from Zdag because I did not get it. But apart from the movie actors role was pretty good. Ajay Devgan as a serious cop did a fine job. What I really like was Akshay Kumar his comic role was excellent. Tusshar was okay. Well the actress Asha and Lara looks beautiful throughout the movie. If you like movie that has a comedy and intense action voilent this is a must see. movie. |
