For young Nikhil, Samrpur was everything one could ask for... A school he had inherited, football, the game he loved, and a bouguet of seven rainbows on the perfect day. But when his beloved Neha gets ambitious and takes off from Samarpur to pursue her dreams, Nikhil can't help following her to Mumbai. But fate has something else in stor for him in Mumbai - an unrelenting Neha, a perky workmate Sara, and an irksome, yet petite, neighbour Shagun. When Neha finally bids goodbye, Nikhil's world is shattered...ironically Sara now stands for everything that he had wanted in Neha...But another quirk of fate decides who the ideal girl for Nikhil is...and just when he thought it was the perfect setting for love, his romantic roof caves in, burying him in a rubble of hilarious situations. Who then amongst Neha, Sara and Shagun finally is destined for Nikhil... Dil Maange More is romance with a mischievous wink...featuring the stars of the new generation...Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia, Tulip Joshi and Soha Ali Khan, who makes her debut in the film. |

How Many Choices Do You Have? |

Shahid proves he is apt at comedy as he must choose between three beautiful woman, all of whom love him. The plot sounds ridiculous, and it is, but the stars pull it off with good taste. Not Shahid's best, but a good time pass. |

Sweet movie! Shahid is good in this. He dances like a dream! All the heroines are good too. Definitely a good add for a movie collection. Gulshan Grover was great! |

Dil Maange More talks about the myriad phases of teenage romance, through the eyes of Nikhil [Shahid Kapoor], who spends most of his time playing football in Samarpur in Uttarakhand.
Nikhil keeps falling in & out of love. The first lady that sweeps him off his feet is Neha (Soha Ali Khan). But Neha has other plans. She comes to Mumbai to pursue further studies & become air-hostess as she wants to fly high. Not wanting to let her go, Nikhil follows her to Mumbai. Neha however makes it clear to him that it is important for her to achieve her goal. In steps Sara (Tulip Joshi) comes in Nikhil's like, but she too vanishes from his life. Nikhil then tries to find his mate in his new neighbour Shagun (Ayesha Takia) who falls for him instantly.
Direction wise the movie is a light entertainer and the director tried to give it a fresh, light, and colourful look like HUMTUM and is successful to a major extent. Music is passable, nothing to sit and listen at you CD player, except one or two tracks.
All the girls are equally good specially Ayesha Takia, but I wonder why the director gives Soha Ali Khan, the best role in presence of Sharmila Tagore's daughter and Saif Ali Khan's younger sister ... ??? especially when it was the debut of a star daughter and sister. |

Good story - Hero making multiple attempts in order to find true love.
He is from Samarpur in Kumaon, Uttarakhand - does such a place (with 7 rainbows) really exist?
Movie had a good start and appeared more of a stage drama towards the end.
Makes us think if Sharmila's daughter is in Guest appearance? |

The kids loves a girl, she ditches him and he bounces on to another, she gets her first love back so he happens to finally find a true love with a third one. First one comes to senses and wants him back. Second one realizes he was a better catch and wants back too. Anyway, all is well that ends well. Good fun movie. Surprised to see Gulshan Grover as a good guy tho. |
