| "Thank you." That is the name of the film. Bollywood titles are often catchy phrases rather than descriptive titles, but despite the odd choice of names, this is the story (used many many times before) of an angel who wants to become a man learn how to love. Even Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic had a similar theme (and was better made), but Shukriya is an interesting story and I have always liked Shreya Saran, so this film held my interest quite well. Certainly it could have been better done, but as is the movie is entertaining and worth while. |

Nice touching relaxing movie  |

The movie is quite touching, albeit it is a ripoff of Meet Joe Black. Anupam Kher and Aftab Shivdasani slipping into the roles originally played by Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt. Having said this, the movie is still a masterpiece. The way the actors did put the emotions in the scenes, and specially at the end of the movie. You really feel sorry for Jindal who dies in the end. During the first half, the movie goes very slow, and you can not think in which direction it is going. But the moment Aftab dies and comes back as Mr. Death, things start changing.
How beautiful the story is told about human emotions and our bounds to this earthly life. You start thinking about your own life. The movie is definately a masterpiece and Aftab has done a wonderful job. It is such a interesting movie, you can relax when you watch it. |
