Episode 5:
Aditi begs forgiveness from her father Daksh. Daksh Opposes Sati's desire to marry Shiv. Kashyap refuses marriage proposal of Daksh's daughters. Daksh, on advice of Brahma, goes to Shiv with the marriage proposal of Sati and obtains his consent.
Episode 6:
With the blessing of Shree Ganesh, marriage of 13 daughters of Daksh with sage Kashyap and Sati with Shiv is solemnized. Aditi gives birth to two sons, Indra and Surya. Sati also becomes desirous of having a son like Ganesh. Narad, Indra and Surya pray for Shree Ganesh to appear before them.
Episode 7:
Ganesh cautions Surya and Narad. Diti asks Shiv to be blessed by a son. On Diti's call two dreadful demons Devantak and Narantak appear and pledge to conquer heaven and earth. Vrihaspati and Narad caution Indra on this development. On his mother Diti's orders, Devantak conquers heaven.
Episode 8:
Shree Ganesh punishes demons Narantak and Devantak for their atrocities. Daksh admonishes sage Kashyap and announces a religious ceremony. Brahma and Vishnu also participate in the ceremony. Diti forces sage Kashyap to bless her to become a mother.
Episode 9:
A cenceited Daksh considers Shiv-Sati unworthy of atending the ceremony and does not invite them. Sage Kashyap takes this decision to be an insult to Shiv and Ganesh. On Shiv's instruction Sati attends the ceremony. She is unable to tolerate the insult to Shiv, however, and kills herself in a self-started fire. |
