Draupadi on meeting her Guru inquires to him that, when she will get rid of the difficulties and tragedies of her life. Her Guru give her the example of Sati Savitri and thus begins the story of Sati Savitri. Kind Akhpati and Queen Malvi worships Goddess lagdamba. This pleased the Goddess and she takes birth in their royal family by the name of Savitri. Savitri was a very pampered child from the beginning. She is given every possible education of life in the Grukul. King and Queen is very happy with the progress of their child but the other two Queens {Padmavati & Bhairvi} of the King are very jealous of Savitri and tries to harm her in every possible way. Every scholar of the Kings court tests the knowledge of Sati Savitri and she passes every test with great ease. King soon starts to think about her marriage. |
