Good and Bad 2 Star Sotaria

One of three pairings of Rani Mukherji and Govinda, this film shows a lot of promise, but the unpleasant twist ending spoils what was supposed to be a comedy. In the film, through a series of happenstances, Govinda pretends to be a dumb mute and wins Rani's love, but he starts to fear loosing her love once she finds out the truth. The comedy soon turns to tragedy. Wanting an original ending may be well intentioned, and might work if this were not a comedy but no one wants to leave a comedy theater feeling sickened, and that is what happens here.
