| It's a day before Holi, the festival of colors. In a village by the sea preparations are in full swing. There is a wrestling competition tonight, and the winner will walk away with Fifteen thousand rupees. At a beach house next to the village, there is a grand party. Ganesh is an aspiring comedian and in love with a girl called Tara. Tara is a widow with a child, and living with her uncle. The two of them plan to run away to Mumbai. Him, to chase his dream of success and fame. Her, to just be with him. But they need money, and Ganesh thinks he stands a chance at tonight's wrestling competition. Exams are ending at a school in a nearby city. Everybody is going to the party at Supriya's Beachhouse. Ria wants to go because Felix might be there. Annie, Charit and Siddharth are her friends and they tag along too. Annie is in love with Charit, and Siddharth is in love with Ria. Both, secretly. Felix decides to hitchhike. And it turns out to be an interesting journey. First he meets a Police Inspector, who seems to be too full of himself, and keeps quizzing him about everything. Then, he meets a beautiful girl who almost crashes into him, and it turns out doesn't really know how to ride a bike. So Felix rides the bike and she directs him. Unknown to him, she's running away from her husband, the Police Inspector Felix had met earlier. Ganesh harbors doubts about going to the city with Tara and the kid. Life will be tougher with three mouths to feed instead of one. Tara slowly realizes this. It begins to rain. Felix and Aditi (the runaway wife) get stuck in the rain. He watches as she revels in her new found freedom. He feels a stirring within. A little crush. Sushant, Aditi's husband relives the events of the day before Aditi left home. He doesn't really feel like going to even look for her. But he feels he must. Ria and the other three get drunk on the way and their car gets stuck near the village. And then Ria gets lost. Charit, Annie and Siddharth look for her but they end up in a Film Show at the village. There Annie begins to sing to Charit, and he runs away, embarrassed. |
