The story is about a small boy (Ramchand)who in a fit of rebellious anger against his mother wanders away from his village and over the Pakistan/India border. He is then arrested by Indian soldiers and sent to jail with his father who selflessly goes across the border to save his prodigal son. According to information presented in the credits, this movie is based on a true story(adding to the interest).
The story is decently told and acting quite sufficient for the task. Those who rely on English Subtitles (such as myself)should know that the subtitles are choppy in grammar and presentation which requires extra diligence in following dialoque. Fortunately, in the DVD format one can easily replay a segment and catch an awkwardly worded or short subtitle presentation. Despite the flaws, I applaud the efforts of the subtitler(s) which enables me to enjoy the talents of the actors and filmakers in foreign cinema such as this. |

I loved this movie - very sweet movie. It is made really well and really touches the heart. This is definitely not a movie for someone looking for India-Pakistan conflict. |
