Born of mixed parentage (an Indian father and a Polish mother) in Toronto, Canada, Lisa Ray went east and found fame and fortune in South Asia's glamour capital - Bombay. A decade ago she created a sensation in the modelling world in Bombay when she appeared in an advertisement clad in a towel for Bombay Dyeing, a leading Indian textile company. For Lisa none of this was planned, she claims she was only sweet sixteen then and visiting India on vacation.
Soon she acquired a supermodel status and became one of the most sought out faces in the industry Some years later she appeared in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Afreen video. Her debut film was Vikram Bhatt's Kasoor in which she played a lawyer. She has also acted in a few South Indian films. Lisa has moved away from Bollywood and is currently based in London, UK.
