A ten-year old Gopal had been abandoned by his mother and is now looked after by a surrogate mother at an orphanage. He is also adopted by a childless couple. yet Gopal is eternally in search of his real mother, who, to his dismay, turns out to be a famous Bollywood actress, who had forsaken him as he was born out of wedlock! an intrinsically woven emotional tale that will move an entire generation. A sentimental experience for family audiences. |

This is one of those "Hinglish" named films, where the movie production team cannot find an appropriate Hindi name. Although, the movie itself is not "Hinglish", except that of the movie name.
The movie is directed by debutant Ashok Kumar Morya, where the cast includes Seema Biswas, Parikshat Sahni, Ashima Bhalla and Ketki Dave. The screenplay is penned by Devjyoti Roy. The movie has been shot at the Matri Mandir orphanage in Guwahati, India with the inmates featured as the cast, with Sonu Bakshi playing the main lead among the children.
The films very well touches the subject of orphan children raising question about the moral responsibility of the society for forcing a mother leave her child in the foster care soon after birth.
Although, the script of the movie could have been better, the film can be watched one-time. |
