After gaining acclaim for playing Dhritrashtra's role in B.R. Chopra's epic 'Mahabharat', Girija Shankar will now be seen on the silver screen with his directorial debut 'Banana Brothers'.
All excited about the project Anupam Kher gave some glimpses of the movie.
Introducing Gursewak Maan, 'Banana Brothers' deals with the story of a young taxi driver Baldev Singh (Gursewak Mann) who migrates to US from Punjab to turn all his dreams into reality. There, he meets a Gujarati guy called Ketan Patel (Anupam Kher) who also nurses the same desire.
In an attempt to make quick bucks, they join hands to start a business. While trying to do so, they happen to meet a womanizer NRI producer Rajinder Kumar (Gulshan Grover).
The film centers around the issue as to what happens to many Indians who leave their native land to try their luck in distant lands. It also speaks of how these two characters keep alive their 'we can do' spirit and meet all odds with a dash of humor.
Shot in San Francisco, the movie is scheduled for release on February 03. |

I liked the movie, it's not that bad. Anupam Kher's acting is good. Johny lever's role is not much in the movie but, his performance is also good. Rest Gursewak Maan acts well in the movie. Movie has a little bit funny moments though etc. |
