In real life, they are a businessman, bureaucrat, lawyer, professor, teacher and a vagabond respectively trapped within a masquerade of history. In walks Barbie, the American dream. Irresistible, seductive and free. Her presence brings to a boil the simmering discontent in the oppressive confinement. Bizarre incidents occur outside the warehouse thus keeping the now fiercely squabbling group trapped inside. The six people slip in and out of character, alternating between their real selves and the personalities they portray. Inexorably, history edges them towards an insanity that reveals what it means to be an Indian during the upheavals of modern times. |
