Anand (Rajesh Khanna), a terminally ill cancer patient, comes to a hospice, full of zest. Unlike other patients who are depressed and in despair, he finds enjoys every moment of the life that's left to him. His doctor, Bhaskar (Amitabh Bachchan) whom he affectionately calls Babu Moshai, is constantly amazed at the strength of his spirit, and the way he fills the life of others around him with meaning. But Bhaskar can do nothing to reverse the inevitable course of Anand's fatal illness A very touching film where Anand puts up a brave front in the face of death. Hit songs like Mukesh's ‘Meine Tere Liye Hi Saath Rang’ and Manna Dey's ‘Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli’ and Lata's 'Jiya Laage Naa' were set to music by Salil Chowdhury. |
