The story is interlinked around two families. It is shot in Scotland, Ireland and Pakistan and is the first Pakistani serial to be filmed entirely on a digital camera. The title song by Ali Azmat is pretty amazing too.
First we have a famous gynecologist in Scotland Dr Ehsan (Talat Hussain) who himself is childless and hence is convinced by his wife Amna (Sakina Samoon) to adopt a child. He comes to Pakistan to get a child, but it is revealed to the viewers that he has another wife Sadia (Shagufta Aijaz) with whom he has a son Ali. He kidnaps his own son and takes him back leaving poor, helpless Sadia all alone and divorced.

He names the kid Aliyaan. Amna becomes pregnant too and they have a son Danish. Fate brings Sadia to Ehsan's doorstep and she now asks for her son. Ehsan refuses and hides Aliyaan, so Sadia kidnaps Danish and runs away to Ireland to her brother where she raises him up as her son Daniyal.

On the other hand we have a landlord's son Sami (Noman Aijaz) who falls in love with his British classfellow Sophi (Sania Hussain) and breaks off his childhood engagement to marry her. He takes Sophi back to Pakistan not realizing that his relatives will make life hell for her. Sophi tries her best to adjust, yet is faced by a vast cultural gap, and the gap between the couple further widens when Sami has no male heir and gets stuck with daughters, Iman and Eisha. Finally Sophi decides to leave and wants to take the daughters with her, but Sami insists that as Iman is his first born and legal heir, Sophi can only take Eisha with her. Sophi leaves and Iman is deeply hurt by this betrayal.

Twenty two years pass by. Aliyaan (Zulfiqar Sheikh) is now a doctor and joins his dad's hosptial. Daniyal (Nabeel) comes to the city for his MBA, and takes up a part time job as a waiter where he meets and befriends Aliyaan. Eisha (Maheen) and her friend Saba (Ghazala) get their paths crossed repeatedly with Aliyaan and Daniyal and some very interesting scenes occur till they all fall in love.

Meanwhile Iman is deemed as a hopeless case by the doctors and in desperation, Sami decides to send her to England to live with his cousin Aliya where he hopes that she and her son Sarim (Asad) might be able to bring her back to life. He even gives her permission to meet her mother if she wants to, which she refuses.

Ehsan now feels sorry for what he had done to Sadia, and life is not easy on him as he dreads the moment when Amna will find out about Sadia. Aliyaan realises that he is Ehsan's natural son. After twenty two years of tears for everyone in the play will all end up well remains to be seen. -by Gina
