Two friends (Dilip Kumar and Shammi Kapoor) have contrasting views about man and his destiny. One believes that man is the master of his destiny. His friend is of the opinion that everything in the world is decided by fate. One of them, an engine driver finds that his son, who is a police inspector, has been murdered. Anger and grief take over as he takes his grandson (Sanjay Dutt), moves to the city and takes to a life of crime. To keep his grandson away from the murky world he lives in, he sends him abroad for studies at a young age. Years pass. His grandson returns and discovers that his grandfather is a master criminal. He rejects the ill-gotten wealth and lives with his grandfather's friend who, though he is still poor, is at peace with himself and the world…. Directed by Subhash Ghai, the film’s music is composed by Kalyanji – Anandji and includes ‘Haathon Ki Chand Lakeeron Ka’ and ‘Saat Saheliyan Khadi Khadi’. |
