| A young deaf-and-dumb man (Sanjeev Kumar) meets a pretty girl (Jaya Bhaduri) in the market, shopping for vegetables and falls in love with her. To his pleasant surprise, he discovers that she is similarly handicapped. They fall in love and get married. When their son is born, they are desperate to know whether he is also impaired. Their joy knows no bounds when they find that he is perfectly normal. They raise him and educate him, making many sacrifices….This deeply moving love-story is directed by Gulzar and showcases two great talents of the Hindi film screen – Jaya Bhaduri and Sanjeev Kumar. Music is composed by Madan Mohan. |
