When the American-educated scion (Ranbir Kapoor) of a powerful Indian family returns to the subcontinent to safeguard his family's political influence, his first taste of power starts him down the dark path of corruption and intrigue. As the man's insatiable ambition devastates his own family, the repercussions threaten the very fabric of Indian society. This tense political thriller from director Prakash Jha co-stars Katrina Kaif. |

High Voltage Political Saga |

At first I thought this movie will be based on Gandhi family but this movie is more like Mahabharata and mob movie. Nonetheless it is enjoyable and fastpaced. |

This is more like the Mahabharata than a mob movie. All in all, excellent performances. Only Katrina Kaif fails to impress (and what is new about that?) Extremely violent. Not a family film because of that. |

Godfather in Indian politics |

Imagine mafia Don Michael Corleone in an Indian political environment. Ever changing India political environment and downright ugly ambition brilliantly depicted by director Prakash Jha. If you can stand this totally awkward Godfather drama played out in a modern day Bharatiya democracy, then you will enjoy it. I give *** stars. |
