| Ugly Aur Pagli is the story of Kabir (Ranvir Shorey), a carefree guy who has been studying engineering for the last 10 years now, whose life takes a U-turn, when he meets the quirky and kinky Kuhu (Mallika Sherawat). Kabir always wanted a girl to love and to make love but he never in his wildest dreams thought he would encounter a girl who could make him dance around circles, run semi naked, ride cycles without seats, wear high heeled ladies shoes. And between all these, creates a love story. The movie is said to be inspired from the Korean movie, "My Sassy Girl", also few months back, a remake of the same Korean movie was made, with the same name, which had Elisha Cuthbert in the leading role. Ugly Aur Pagli actually is an average flick. It has funny moments, the performances are good, direction is okay. Its sure now, that Mallika Sherawat is much better in comic flicks & she is actually good in it. She acts pretty well & she looked gorgeous at times as well. Ranvir Shorey, as usual did a nice job. He makes you laugh, & acts well. The music of the movie is not very impressive, the legendary "copy-cat", Anu Malik, is back with his same old quality. On the whole, a fine movie, with a good chemistry between Shorey & Sherawat & also good performance by both of them. |
