watchable remake 3 Star AL

This film about a brother who loses his sister's shoes placing them in an awkward and embarassing situation comes nowhere close to the masterful Iranian film, "Children of Heaven" by Majid Majidi. The sillyness and jokes interwoven in the plot seem out of place, and the ending change from the original film's ending eroded much of the point of the original filmaker. This being said, it is not a bad film,(much of the original is retained and is fun to watch) but for those interested in this movie, I would strongly recommend viewing "Children of Heaven" first.
